Your First Raid at a Glance
You play an operative stuck in a time loop: choose your loadout, enter quantum-unstable zones rich with active matter, fight rivals from other timelines, and survive physics-breaking anomalies.
The core loop is extraction-style: harvest active matter, gather loot, and extract to a safe place before the whole zone ceases to exist with everything inside it.
Before deploying, pick solo matchmaking, where no other squads will be present, or group matchmaking, which you can also join alone, then select Investigations while the other contracts are chosen automatically.
During the raid, monitor the objective list: each objective shows its icon inside a progress ring marked with milestones, mandatory or extraction-required objectives feature corner markers, and tags such as 'Extraction' flag what matters most.
Plan for death and danger: each raid death consumes 1 charge of Tier III chronogenes, which hold up to 10 charges, and on death all gear and weapons except the weapon in hand remain on the body, while the zones hold eerie, SCP-inspired monsters and other players who are always your most dangerous enemy.
Matchmaking and Preparation Before You Deploy
As an operative stuck in a time loop, you choose your loadout and enter quantum-unstable zones rich with active matter — the most valuable and the most dangerous resource in all multiverse — so sort your matchmaking, gear, and contracts before every deployment.
- Choose matchmaking: raids support solo matchmaking, where no other squads will be present, or group matchmaking, which you can also join alone.
- Pick your loadout before entering the zone.
- When preparing for a raid, select Investigations; the other contracts are selected automatically.
- Check the Agency's expanded rentable gear options — rental equipment is independent of the selected raid.
- Plan around Provided Equipment: after deploying to a raid with it, redeploying with it again is blocked for five minutes, with the countdown starting from the moment the raid begins.
- Skim the contracts you may be handed: 'Collaborative Objectives' (labelled 'TO ALL AGENTS' in game, random global missions for all raid participants that require teaming up with players outside your group, with rewards depending on player engagement), 'Combat Practice' (destruction of more varied targets), 'Vehicle Transfer' (get vehicles to a delivery point), and 'Collect and Extract' (find and extract with different items).
- Set a loot goal: raids are extraction-style, so you can bring back whatever weapons you find in the zones, or expand your arsenal another way — at your base, you can use active matter to replicate specific items recovered from those realities.
Tracking Objectives and Extracting in Time
- Open the raid objective list at the start: each objective shows its icon inside a progress ring marked with milestones, completed and failed objectives are marked with distinct icons, mandatory or extraction-required objectives feature corner markers, and long lists collapse into a line.
- Work through operative objectives in sequence: they are issued one at a time, and the next is granted after completing the previous one.
- Check each objective's tag, such as 'Daily', 'Extraction', or 'Unique', to prioritize what you pursue.
- Navigate by color: objective marker colors on the raid map and compass match the objective list entries.
- Confirm targets by icon: map objective markers display the objective icon inside a colored circle, and the list mirrors the same icon for easy visual matching.
- Use the map's compact objective list: details and markers sit in tooltips, with mouse-wheel scrolling, panning, and gamepad support, and the early-extraction and extraction-requirement tips are placed below the list.
- Harvest active matter and gather loot as you complete each objective on the way.
- Watch the raid clock: the Downtown raid lasts 45 minutes after being raised from 30, so pace your objective route around that limit.
- Extract to a safe place before the whole zone ceases to exist with everything inside it.
Death Costs, Monsters, and Zone Dangers
Death sends you back into the loop — you're always brought back from the dead to the same point — but each raid death consumes 1 charge of Tier III chronogenes, and those hold up to 10 charges, so every wipe draws down a limited pool.
Loot consequences are documented: on death, all gear and weapons — except the weapon in hand — remain on the body instead of dropping.
- Extract before the deadline: the whole zone ceases to exist with everything inside it, so reach a safe place with your haul first.
- Expect anomalies everywhere: the locations are full of anomalies, including gravitational ones, which can let you run along walls and ceilings.
- Face eerie, SCP-inspired monsters, entities, and anomalous objects lurking throughout the unstable zones; learn their rules, survive their effects, and never assume that what you see is harmless.
- Know the named threats: dedicated traps exist to capture Hellhounds, Invisibles, Distorted, Flowermen, Ball Lightning, and Fireballs for the 'Specimen Capture' and 'Anomaly Capture' operative objective contracts.
- Keep your distance from the updated Alpha Mimic: it explodes on death, dealing damage to nearby targets and destroying the environment.
- Track your condition against Invisibles: they can occasionally land headshots, but only if their target has a high level of condition remaining.
- Watch for monster clusters: their appearance means high danger with higher-tier and more loot.
- Treat other players as your most dangerous enemy, and stay alert for operatives and other survivors that lost their mind and humanity after exposure to active matter.
