Dog tags enter your collection through documented routes: hacking a Mindvault grants a dog tag, defeated enemy dog tags can be placed in your Shelter, and the Deluxe Edition includes an army dog tag.
Update 0.1.0.145 added a dedicated notification for the dog tag obtained when hacking a Mindvault, marking that hack as a documented acquisition route.
Tag types are tracked in the dedicated dog tag view added to the Inventory in the Shelter by the Gigastructure update, which includes its own filter options for browsing your collection.
Collected dog tags are viewed in the dedicated dog tag view in the Shelter Inventory, and Update 0.4.0.93 enabled placing defeated enemy dog tags in your Shelter after Update 0.4.0.73 had blocked dog tag placement.
Documented reward-tag appearances are the Deluxe Edition army dog tag "Anomalous Zone Veteran" and the Harmonization Cycle 2 dog tag, whose Cycle Offer Update 0.4.0.137 confirmed is now issued correctly.
